The
intrinsically-safe non-contact temperature meter EX-MX2 is a robust, highly
reliable and easy to use instrument for measuring the temperature of objects
that are difficult to access, are moving or are as material on conveyor
belts.
Operation could not be simpler: sight the object, press the trigger and the
temperature can be read off the display immediately. The need to use the
time consuming practice of focusing or calibration is now a thing of the
past.
The
laser sighting allows exact areas - even on distant objects - to be
pinpointed, so that high accuracy and an exact capture of a specific area
can be guaranteed. The Emissivity-Factor of 0.1 to 1.5 can be variably
adjusted by increments of 0.01. This enables high measuring accuracy with
only the emitted radiation part of a body being calculated from a cluster of
emitted, reflected and transmitted radiation.
Constant information about the actual temperature as well as minimum and
maximum temperature values are displayed along with a graphical trend of the
previous 10 readings and also the condition of the battery.
The
back-lighted display enables readings to be taken even when used in dark
environments and poor light conditions. The benefit of this simple yet
robust device is that temperature monitoring as part of routine maintenance
or manufacturing procedures can be easily carried out over a wide
temperature range of -22 to + 1652°F (-30°C to +900°C) with an accuracy of
+ 1.8°F (1°C) (up to 212°F/100°C) and + 1% (above
212°F/100°C).
The EX-MX2 now allows high precision, repeat accuracy of temperature
monitoring tasks to be carried out safely within the hazardous area.
